V.O.R.R.H.'s aspirations are in the hope of meeting the on-going needs of not only the transitional shelter, but of our outreach program as well.

Therefore, as with any non-profit organization, we have a few needs that we are currently requesting (or that may be ongoing) if you or anyone you know can assist us, please connect with us through our "contact us" page.
Thank you for your generous support!
V.O.R.R.H.'s Outreach Program V.O.R.R.H. has an outreach program that is a viable instrument for assessing and assisting our Homeless Veterans. With our volunteer staff we have provided outreach services to all homeless, with homeless Veterans being our priority. We maintain a staff of volunteers that includes: nurses, doctors, case managers, group leadership counselors, and other outside agencies. Without constancy in support of all these components we would not be successful. | Volunteering at a campsite to see how the homeless veterans. Supplies were brought in, some clean-up was done, some of our volunteers checked on the veterans to see if there were any minor health issues that could be attended to, and finally if there were any items were needed at this time. |
Within the outreach program we request donations for the upcoming winter. We will be having a Stand-Down, therefore our on-going wish list is that you please
hold on to and collect all types of winter items that we may pass out
to individuals that are in our homeless outreach program. We will be
looking for items such as: camping gear, sleeping bags, batteries,
tents, clothing of all sizes in good repair, food, flashlights, garbage
bags, rain gear, duffel bags, portable burners, portable fuel, gloves,
coats, socks, hygiene items (men & women), storage containers for
food (Rubbermaid), cots, sheets, pillows. This is a very general list
but gives you an idea of items that we will be in need of and large
quantities. If you need for us to store them for you please contact us and
we will be happy to do so. The Date is to be set for the Stand Down in January and will be announced here.
